| Our hotel is ideally situated for relaxing strolls along the Folkestone Leas with its sea views. On weekends in the summer bands perform at the Leas Bandstand just a few steps from the hotel. Further down the Leas is the Leas Cliff Hall featuring a full schedule of live concerts and touring shows. Also within walking distance are Folkestone's beach and harbour, the Rotunda Amusement Park, the Lower Leas Coastal Park, the Metropole Arts Centre, and the historic Parish Church on the Bayle.

| In the summer there are many other attractions in and around Folkestone. The Folkestone Sports Centre features public swimming pools, a golf course, a fitness centre, and more family activities. The Folkestone Museum and the Martello Tower offer a bit of local history. Nature lovers will enjoy the wonders of Romney Marsh and nearby Samphire Hoe. There are also zoo parks, historic castles, freshwater and sea fishing, and the one-third-scale Romney Hythe & Dymchurch Railway.

| Dover is only a few miles away by car or train. From this port day trips on the ferry to France and Belgium can easily be arranged. Also within reasonable driving distance from Folkestone are Ashford, Canterbury with its magnificent cathedral, Leeds Castle, the ancient towns of Hastings and Rye, and London. |
